The Foundation focuses its efforts on educational and research projects that advance the gear industry. Recent projects include: development of web-based “Detailed Gear Design” and “Gear Failure Analysis” training courses; assessment of the ISO micropitting model at Ohio State University; gear vibration/noise documentation at Gear Research Institute; gear stress research at the University of Tennessee; and an academic scholarship to help shape the future workforce.
