AGMA Foundation Logo

The Foundation’s mission is to recruit, educate and keep the power transmission workforce current with emerging technology.

Recent projects include:

1) The Get Into Gears Employee Recruitment Toolkit. Designed for use at job fairs, plant tours, and community presentations, the FREE toolkit contains a video as well as brochure, poster, and PowerPoint templates that are easily customized.

2) A Scholarship Program for students at the Technical/Associate, Undergraduate and Graduate levels who are interested in a career in gearing. Over the past seven years, the Foundation has awarded $272,000 in scholarships to 40 students. Eighty-six percent of graduated scholarship recipients are currently working in the power transmission industry.

3) Support for AGMA education programs, including:

Gear Failure Analysis Online Course
AGMA Webinar Series
Detailed Gear Design

4) A grant to AGMA for the research and education aspects of its 2016 Centennial Celebration! Foundation funds were used for a Centennial book, timeline exhibit, video and online timeline.
